Updating the plumbing for the property (new boiler/pipework/radiators), uncovering and restoring original floorboards, re-wiring electrics, gutting and renovation of two bathrooms, building cupboards/shelves, laying under floor heating, general decoration and some landscape gardening involving removing multi-layered brickwork/paving and laying/flattening soil in preparation for sowing grass seed, as well as laying a small terrace.
They were originally recommended to me by my brother for whom they did a kitchen extension. I can confirm that on each occasion they have worked for us I have found them to be extremely professional, skilful, considerate, conscientious and reasonable.
They are full of ideas and always provide solutions to problems that inevitably crop up. They also provide excellent aftercare and have been thorough and conscientious at seeing through post work snag lists. I shall definitely be using them again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them (in fact I have already recommended them to a number of my friends who have also had good experiences).

We were introduced to BCS about 9 years ago. All our building & decorating is carried out by them.
We have a large Victorian double fronted house with attic and the first job they did was repoint the whole house and repaint it. They did a very good job.
Since then they have taken on a number of jobs for us, some small, some large. Just recently Arbey and the team completely refitted and renewed our bathroom, it looks lovely.
They are now lined up to do a new kitchen for us and paint the inside of our house.
PS they also maintain our church buildings.

Arbey and his team refurbished almost my whole flat…
They installed a new kitchen and bathroom, they laid a new wooden floor in the living room, they constructed a bookcase, cabinets and cupboards in the living room, bathroom and lobbies, they replastered all the ceilings, they redecorated throughout, they reconfigured the electrical system and lighting, they moved the boiler, redesigned and installed the heating system, and they reconstructed the plumbing in the bathroom. In some parts of the flat they worked to designs which I gave them, and in other parts they advised me on design. The work involved the whole range of tasks including moving and knocking down walls, plastering, decorating, plumbing, reconstructing doorways and installing new doors, carpentry, laying a new wooden floor, installing a new loft ladder and electrical work.
I was absolutely delighted with the whole job at the time, and nearly 18 months later I remain delighted: not only is the quality of their craftsmanship the highest in all areas of their work (and the durability of the results is testament to the quality of their work), but what was unusual and impressive was how reliable and professional they are, how well they communicate progress on an ongoing basis, how well and how transparently they warned me of things that were not going entirely to plan, how transparent and honest they were about costs, how much effort they put in – in their own time – to source appropriate materials, and how much they cared about both the work they were doing and what it would be like for me to actually live in.
Even the quality of the way they clean up after themselves, and the precautions they take to protect the property from dirt as much as they can, is unusual.
They were both thoughtful about solutions to what I wanted and very respectful of the fact that this was my home rather than just a building job. The team were conscientious and were on site without fail all day, every day, sometimes staying into the evening to finish tasks.
The team were very well managed and a pleasure to have around, as they are careful about not intruding more than they have to. When I simply couldn’t visualise what I wanted, or when I was in danger of making the wrong decision, they were patient and helpful in suggesting ideas.
They are transparent and honest and they have a very high level of both integrity and skill, which inspires both trust and confidence. It was this trust and their caring which underpinned my experience of them, and which is so unusual.
They are also unusually conscientious about snagging, even a year after the completion of the work. Now that the work is finished I have a home which has been beautifully renovated and the experience has been the best it could possibly be. I wholeheartedly recommend B Construction Services to anyone considering any building work.
